We’ve had lunch (mushroom soup, followed by roast beef, whipped potatoes, and diced carrots, with lemon meringue pie for dessert), and we’ve had a glass of wine and a glass of Champagne, now I’m just going to have a glass of Lagavulin and a pipe. The Captain said he doesn’t mind if I smoke a pipe because my wife’s father owns the aircraft. Normally, he doesn’t allow smoking, so this is a special treat.
Amelie has gone back to napping in the back of the aircraft and I’m up front. I’ve had a short nap, but I’m a bit of a light sleeper (being a single father trained me to listen for noise while sleeping), so I only had a short nap, but Amelie can sleep through a nuclear blast, so she has no trouble in the quiet part of the jet.
I found out this jet is a Bombardier Global 6000 for what it’s worth.
In about an hour, we’re going to eat caviar and white truffle hors d’oeuvres again, but for now I’m going to enjoy my glass of Scotch (Lagavulin) and my St. Claude pipe which, by the way, smokes better than any pipe I’ve ever had before.
