Stuck at Work? Bored?

You’re a girl.  Go make a pot of fresh coffee then ask the men in the office how they take it.  Don’t ask them if they want coffee – they’ll say no.  Simply ask how they take their coffee, then prepare it for them and deliver it.

You’re guaranteed to get at least one smile when you deliver their afternoon cup of energy.

New Year’s Eve Party Turns Into Dinner Party

Well, I thought we were having a party at my place tonight, but last night, Danielle asked me to take the turkey out of the freezer and proceeded to explain to me that we were having a dinner party tonight. She says that she and Jennifer will do all of the cooking and all I need to do is enjoy some wine while I socialize with our guests.

So this morning, I went down to the cellar and brought up nine bottles of red wine then picked up the girls. They’ll be staying the night tonight and have told me it’s fine to start drinking now, so as I write this, I’m enjoying a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.

My girls are good girls.

The girls

The girls were ecstatic about their Chanel and Louis Vuitton purses. They asked me how I could afford them and I just said, “I know some people.” hehehe.

We haven’t had a chance to spend a lot of time together lately, but that will all change later this week when we start going back out to dinner on Saturday and Wednesday nights. This week it will have to be Sunday and Wednesday nights because of New Year’s, but we can make it work.

Hopefully, we’ll all be able to sneak away for some time at the cabin, too.

Christmas / Thrifted Rolex and Purses

I didn’t have time to write this on Christmas Eve, but I did receive my Rolex back from Nick the Watchmaker that day.

He said a screw had come loose inside the case and was stuck in the fly wheel (I think that’s what he said … I have no idea how watches work).

Nick gave the internals of the watch a thorough cleaning and it works and keeps time like it’s new. It only cost me $400 for servicing.

So I’ve been wearing a Rolex on my wrist since Christmas Eve.

Today, I’m going over to Jennifer’s and Danielle’s places to give them their thrifted purses. Let’s hope they’re as excited as I was when I got my Rolex back.
