Willow

I love my Willow so much.  I respect her accomplishments.  The girl has a nearly 5.0 GPA and is on course to go to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

She has accomplished more in her short life than I have in 52 years.

And yet I still see her as inferior.  I can’t help but notice that if she were a man, more would be expected of her.  If she were a man, she would be expected to be less emotional, more stoic.  If she were a man, she wouldn’t depend on me so much.

Thank God she’s not a man.  I love that she’s emotional.  I love that she depends on me.  I love that she can be herself around me.

I love my Willow.  Thank God she is who she is.
